Documenting the forced exile of one of Syria’s most well-known intellectual dissidents, “Our Terrible Country” is currently winning awards all over the international film circuit. A co-direction between Ziad Homsi and Mohammad Ali Atassi, this film brings together the old guard of Syrian filmmaking and the newer generation of artists, united in attempting to make sense of their common crisis.
